This month our blog circle theme is How I View Close Up Portraiture. Well, I have to admit… that’s pretty much where I live… close up. I constantly have to remind myself to back up… to include people’s waists, and legs and even feet. For the longest time I am certain that none of the people I photographed had feet
I decided to give my children a well deserved break from my camera, and instead I chose some close ups of a gorgeous senior I recently worked with. If you’ve never shot a senior, you’re missing out. They listen, they want to be there…. it’s a win-win for both of us.
Without further adieu, here is the gorgeous Vanessa, Class of 2014.
Please take a minute to see how my very talented friend, Kristen, of Harley Madison Photography views Close Up Portraiture
Kristen L - Lovely girl, Dana! And I enjoy shooting my kids but BOY was it a nice change to photograph a senior who was excited to get in front of my camera and was able to follow my every direction! Agreed on that!
Tracy - haha! Kids who listen and want to be there!!! What a beautiful young woman. That second image is just breathtaking … the light and tones are really stunning and complement her natural beauty so well.
Allison - I need to get my hands on some seniors … for my own sanity! Beautiful shots, Dana! I’m sure she loved these!
Katrina - She’s beautiful! And I love your close-up work, Dana! I’ve often thought about how much better a senior (and a senior girl, especially!) would be at taking direction. Gorgeous work!
Lisa Benemelis - She is gorgeous and you brought out her sweet personality just beautiful. I am sure she is thrilled with her pictures. <3
aimee - Gorgeous portraits and such a beautiful girl! What a treat to have an enthusiastic subject! I especially love the 3rd. She just pops out full of life and vibrant color. Beautiful!
